    This season at Great Kids Farm, we harvested several varieties of cherry-sized tomatoes that went to Baltimore City Public Schools cafeterias in celebration of Maryland Homegrown School Lunch Week. Summer is still hanging on, and so are our tomato plants. Here are a few recipes we’ve made at the farm.  Enjoy the last of the summer tomato harvest!

    Each summer, Great Kids Farm hosts a cohort of young adults hired through the YouthWorks summer employment program. In this 2 1/2 minute video, summer interns share what they have learned through their experiences working at the Farm.

    In the beginning there were 33-acres, a few goats, a farmer, and a city full of kids who needed better food. And with little more to rely on than the energy of students and support of volunteers and community advocates, food began to grow. But it's up to us to keep it growing.
